Meals by Emily grew from a simple idea:
Food should increase your well-being, not destroy it.
After years of lethargy, undiagnosable stomach problems, wacky menstrual cycles and self-esteem wrecking cystic acne, I took my health into my own hands and radically upgraded the way I ate.
I gave up all processed foods and drinks and began making everything from scratch. I focused on eating single ingredient foods, studied and experimented with lacto-fermentation and probiotics, and even designed homemade electrolyte beverages…
…and my body began to heal! Years of mysterious issues began to disappear.
During this health journey, I have eaten all the way from hardcore vegan, to devout carnivore.
I also am well-versed in gluten-friendly options, AIP for autoimmune disease, Low-Oxalate for kidney and thyroid issues, Paleo for those looking to eliminate grains, and the Microbiome Diet for those with gut dysbiosis, or SIBO.
While I currently eat a Mediterranean style diet, (as that’s what works for me!) I believe everyone has a unique body, goals and needs — one way of eating never works for everyone.
My focus is on helping you, discover what works for you.
I offer services from consultation and nutrition guidance, to weekly meal prep, and even in-home chef services. I also enjoy making baked goods that support gym performance without sacrificing flavor.
Beyond home cooking, I have years of experience in the service industries, most recently working on a regenerative farm, and cooking farm-to-table feasts for the public. Nothing tastes better than food you grew & harvested with your own hands.
